Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Medora by Alson Skinner Clark was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 15,360.00 (€ 14,171.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Alson Skinner Clark have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In the Lock, Miraflores in June 2002 with an auction result of USD 81,260.00 (€ 82,447.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Medora von Alson Skinner Clark kam im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 15.360,00 (€ 14.171,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alson Skinner Clark auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In the Lock, Miraflores im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.260,00 (€ 82.447,24).
