Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a Woman in a Hat 28 x 24 in. framed 36 3/4 x 32 3/4 in. by Alson Skinner Clark was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,400.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,536.00 (€ 1,408.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alson Skinner Clark achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In the Lock, Miraflores in June 2002 with an auction result of USD 81,260.00 (€ 82,447.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a Woman in a Hat 28 x 24 in. framed 36 3/4 x 32 3/4 in. von Alson Skinner Clark kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.400,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.536,00 (€ 1.408,14) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alson Skinner Clark erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In the Lock, Miraflores im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.260,00 (€ 82.447,24).
