In August last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California Art, which included the work California Coast (Laguna Beach) by Alson Skinner Clark. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,287.50 (€ 8,233.98), 66% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alson Skinner Clark achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In the Lock, Miraflores in June 2002 with an auction result of USD 81,260.00 (€ 82,447.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 66 % übertroffen
Im August letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit California Coast (Laguna Beach) von Alson Skinner Clark zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.287,50 (€ 8.233,98) und damit 66% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alson Skinner Clark erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit In the Lock, Miraflores im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.260,00 (€ 82.447,24).
