In October 2021 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Art Impressionniste et Moderne Day Sale, which included the work La tombée du soir sur l'Oise by Alphonse Osbert. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 10,080.00 44% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Alphonse Osbert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In The Evening'S Tranquility in November 2017 with an auction result of EUR 52,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Art Impressionniste et Moderne Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit La tombée du soir sur l'Oise von Alphonse Osbert zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 10.080,00 und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alphonse Osbert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In The Evening'S Tranquility im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 52.500,00.
