Auction result well in line with expectations
In September last year Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Art, which included the work "Contemplation" by Alphonse Osbert. It changed hands for a price of EUR 7,872.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alphonse Osbert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In The Evening'S Tranquility in November 2017 with an auction result of EUR 52,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Contemplation" von Alphonse Osbert zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 7.872,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alphonse Osbert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In The Evening'S Tranquility im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 52.500,00.
