The work The Emperor Boa by Aloys Zötl was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in March 2018. It achieved a price of EUR 100,000.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67 %. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Aloys Zötl; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Male And Female Pipas sold at auction in March 2018 with the realized price of EUR 137,500.00.

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 100.000,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67 %. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Aloys Zötl; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Male And Female Pipas im März 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 137.500,00.
