Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A South Island Kokako And A Female Malabar Trogon On A Branch Of An Orange Tree by Aloys Zötl was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2019. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,215.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aloys Zötl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Male And Female Pipas in March 2018 with an auction result of EUR 137,500.00.

Die Arbeit A South Island Kokako And A Female Malabar Trogon On A Branch Of An Orange Tree von Aloys Zötl kam im Juli 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.215,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aloys Zötl erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Male And Female Pipas im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 137.500,00.
