Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900, which included the work ON THE BEACH by Luigi Loir. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 5,292.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Luigi Loir achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French les Quais De La Seine, 1900 in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 224,750.00 (€ 255,948.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Tableaux Dessins Sculptures 1300-1900 durch, in der auch die Arbeit ON THE BEACH von Luigi Loir zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 5.292,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Luigi Loir erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French les Quais De La Seine, 1900 im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 224.750,00 (€ 255.948,32).
