Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Bonhams held the auction Modern Design | Art, which included the work Untitled (Horse) by Alirio Palacios. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,140.00 (€ 6,567.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alirio Palacios - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portraits In Landscape Iii, which sold at auction in May 2016 for USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,329.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Modern Design | Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Horse) von Alirio Palacios zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 7.140,00 (€ 6.567,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Alirio Palacios mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portraits In Landscape Iii beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für USD 23.750,00 (€ 21.329,14) versteigert wurde.
