This artwork by Ali Imam achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2014. In the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Tiger And Bull sold for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,768.56) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ali Imam; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled (Figure on a Horse) sold at auction in May last year with the realized price of GBP 12,750.00 (€ 14,999.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ali Imam erzielte im Oktober 2014 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Tiger And Bull für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.768,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ali Imam; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Untitled (Figure on a Horse) im Mai letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 12.750,00 (€ 14.999,16).
