It achieved a price of GBP 2,040.00 (€ 2,436.12), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Algernon Newton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Stour, near Sudbury in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 70,498.10).

Die Arbeit Study of Two Trees von Algernon Newton kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.040,00 (€ 2.436,12) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Algernon Newton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Stour, near Sudbury im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 70.498,10).
