Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work La Tosatura by Alfredo Prosa was auctioned at Sothebys in Milan in June 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 3,750.00. Other works by Alfredo Prosa have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December 2009 by the work Estate at EUR 7,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit La Tosatura von Alfredo Prosa im Juni 2011 bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 3.750,00 den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Alfredo Prosa wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Dezember 2009 die Arbeit Estate mit EUR 7.500,00.
