Admittedly, works by Alfred von Wierusz-Kowalski have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pferdeschlitten im Schnee von Wölfen bedroht. in March 2008 with an auction result of CHF 549,000.00 (€ 350,102.56).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Polish rekwizycja (Requistion) von Alfred von Wierusz-Kowalski kam im November 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 56.807,42) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred von Wierusz-Kowalski auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pferdeschlitten im Schnee von Wölfen bedroht. im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 549.000,00 (€ 350.102,56).
