Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Polish polish Wedding Procession by Alfred von Wierusz-Kowalski was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 42,500.00 (€ 49,689.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Alfred von Wierusz-Kowalski have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pferdeschlitten im Schnee von Wölfen bedroht. in March 2008 with an auction result of CHF 549,000.00 (€ 350,102.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Polish polish Wedding Procession von Alfred von Wierusz-Kowalski kam im Dezember 2016 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 42.500,00 (€ 49.689,40) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred von Wierusz-Kowalski auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pferdeschlitten im Schnee von Wölfen bedroht. im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 549.000,00 (€ 350.102,56).
