Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Winter, Fifth Avenue (from the portfolio 'Picturesque Bits of New York and Other Studies') by Alfred Stieglitz was sold in the Photographs auction at Bonhams in London in October this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 32,000.00 (€ 30,280.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Stieglitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work From the Back-Window, - '291 ', 1915 in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 473,000.00 (€ 440,368.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Winter, Fifth Avenue (from the portfolio 'Picturesque Bits of New York and Other Studies') von Alfred Stieglitz wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Bonhams in London versteigert.
