Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2024 Bonhams in Skinner Boston held the auction Prints & Photographs, which included the work A Personal Vision 5 by Alfred Stieglitz. It changed hands for a price of USD 460.80 (€ 402.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Stieglitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work From the Back-Window, - '291 ', 1915 in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 473,000.00 (€ 440,368.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2024 führte Bonhams in Skinner Boston die Auktion Prints & Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Personal Vision 5 von Alfred Stieglitz zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 460,80 (€ 402,73) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Stieglitz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit From the Back-Window, - '291 ', 1915 im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 473.000,00 (€ 440.368,68).
