Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Procession by Alfred Seifert was sold in the THE HOUSE SALE auction at Christies in New York in February 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 7,170.00 (€ 6,651.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Seifert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The maiden's suiter, which sold at auction in May 2000 for USD 14,100.00 (€ 15,115.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Procession von Alfred Seifert wurde im Februar 2003 in der Auktion THE HOUSE SALE bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 7.170,00 (€ 6.651,82) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred Seifert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The maiden's suiter beobachtet, die im Mai 2000 für USD 14.100,00 (€ 15.115,78) versteigert wurde.
