In October 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work German Portrait Of A Young Girl by Alfred Seifert. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,823.92) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Seifert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The maiden's suiter, which sold at auction in May 2000 for USD 14,100.00 (€ 15,115.78).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit German Portrait Of A Young Girl von Alfred Seifert zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.823,92) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred Seifert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The maiden's suiter beobachtet, die im Mai 2000 für USD 14.100,00 (€ 15.115,78) versteigert wurde.
