In January 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Sit Up by Alfred Provis. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,937.50 (€ 2,597.30), 61% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Provis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work At the hearthside, which sold at auction in September 2000 for GBP 4,112.50 (€ 6,881.47).

Im Januar 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sit Up von Alfred Provis zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.937,50 (€ 2.597,30) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred Provis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit At the hearthside beobachtet, die im September 2000 für GBP 4.112,50 (€ 6.881,47) versteigert wurde.
