Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bonhams in London held the auction ExpressionismGermany, Austria and Beyond, which included the work Der Eroberer by Alfred Kubin. The price achieved of GBP 3,200.00 (€ 3,674.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Kubin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Der letzte König in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 525,000.00 (€ 429,272.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion ExpressionismGermany, Austria and Beyond durch, in der auch die Arbeit Der Eroberer von Alfred Kubin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.200,00 (€ 3.674,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Kubin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Der letzte König im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 525.000,00 (€ 429.272,28).
