Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (August 10) by Alfred Jensen was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in February 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,100.00 (€ 4,217.32) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Jensen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Heaven; Per I and II in September 2013 with an auction result of USD 477,750.00 (€ 352,973.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (August 10) von Alfred Jensen kam im Februar 2021 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.100,00 (€ 4.217,32) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Jensen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Heaven; Per I and II im September 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 477.750,00 (€ 352.973,77).
