Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Crow Indians Attacking a Buffalo with the Lance Near the Sweet Water River by Alfred Jacob Miller was auctioned at Christies in New York in January last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 87,500.00 (€ 78,041.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Jacob Miller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pawnee Running a Buffalo in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,565,000.00 (€ 1,405,478.22).

Die Arbeit Crow Indians Attacking a Buffalo with the Lance Near the Sweet Water River von Alfred Jacob Miller kam im Januar letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 78.041,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
