Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work An Indian With the Scalp Lock of His Enemy by Alfred Jacob Miller was sold in the American Art Online auction at Christies in New York in August 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 27,500.00 (€ 23,039.54). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Jacob Miller achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pawnee Running a Buffalo in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 1,565,000.00 (€ 1,405,478.22).
