Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2015 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Between the showers - Brother's Water, Cumbria by Alfred de Bréanski Jnr.. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 5,184.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred de Bréanski Jnr. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Evening, The Slopes of Ben Nevis; And Ben Tigh, which sold at auction in March 2006 for GBP 11,400.00 (€ 16,334.15).
