Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 470.00 (€ 767.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Alfred Downing Fripp have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pompeii, Italy in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 2,868.00 (€ 4,117.06).
