Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The hunt by Alfred Bastien was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,115.00 (€ 2,351.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Bastien achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work French Le Maharaja Et Ses Elephants A La Procession Du Festival De Dussehra A Mysore in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 32,450.00 (€ 39,234.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The hunt von Alfred Bastien kam im Oktober 2001 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.115,00 (€ 2.351,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Bastien erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit French Le Maharaja Et Ses Elephants A La Procession Du Festival De Dussehra A Mysore im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 32.450,00 (€ 39.234,49).
