In June 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Big Pendulum by Alexei Sundukov. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,143.24), 72% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Alexei Sundukov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Essence of Being in April 2010 with an auction result of GBP 67,250.00 (€ 77,391.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 72 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Big Pendulum von Alexei Sundukov zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.143,24) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexei Sundukov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Essence of Being im April 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 67.250,00 (€ 77.391,60).
