Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Brain by Alexei Sundukov was sold in the Russian Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in May 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 13,238.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Alexei Sundukov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Essence of Being in April 2010 with an auction result of GBP 67,250.00 (€ 77,391.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Brain von Alexei Sundukov wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion Russian Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 13.238,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexei Sundukov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Essence of Being im April 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 67.250,00 (€ 77.391,60).
