In June 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Woodland in May by Alexei Mikhailovich Gritsai. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 11,340.00 (€ 13,214.05), 42% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexei Mikhailovich Gritsai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Evening In The Birch Grove, which sold at auction in June 2018 for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 26,841.55).

Im Juni 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Woodland in May von Alexei Mikhailovich Gritsai zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 11.340,00 (€ 13.214,05) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexei Mikhailovich Gritsai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Evening In The Birch Grove beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für GBP 23.750,00 (€ 26.841,55) versteigert wurde.
