Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2006 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental and Russian Pictures, which included the work Riverside chores, dusk by Alexandre René Veron. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,959.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre René Veron achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Along the riverbanks in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 17,625.00 (€ 20,769.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Riverside chores, dusk von Alexandre René Veron zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.959,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexandre René Veron erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Along the riverbanks im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.625,00 (€ 20.769,50).
