Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work French sunset On The Riverbank by Alexandre René Veron was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in February 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 2,375.00 (€ 1,944.97). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre René Veron achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Along the riverbanks in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 17,625.00 (€ 20,769.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit French sunset On The Riverbank von Alexandre René Veron im Februar 2018 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 2.375,00 (€ 1.944,97) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexandre René Veron erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Along the riverbanks im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 17.625,00 (€ 20.769,50).
