A costume design for Igor Stravinsky's Petrushka, scene 1 The Butterweek Fair. by Alexandre Benois was sold in the Important Spring Sale auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in June 2019. The result of SEK 30,000.00 (€ 2,856.38) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of SEK 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandre Benois achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Revue De La Garde Passée Par L'Empereur Paul Ier Devant Le Château Michel (6 Janvier 1801) in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 482,500.00 (€ 580,624.17).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexandre Benois erzielen.
