Sold at the upper estimate price
In November 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Classical Landscape by Alexandra Exter. The auction ended at the price of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,378.72), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexandra Exter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition Puriste in June 2014 with an auction result of GBP 1,022,500.00 (€ 1,277,564.83).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Classical Landscape von Alexandra Exter zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.378,72) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 18.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexandra Exter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition Puriste im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.022.500,00 (€ 1.277.564,83).
