In the BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PAINTINGS, INCLUDING SCOTTISH PICTURES auction, the work A walk to the coast sold for GBP 2,115.00 (€ 3,412.76) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alexander Kellock Brown; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Hayfield by a village sold at auction in October 2002 with the realized price of GBP 3,585.00 (€ 5,670.84).
