Auction result well in line with expectations
The work In Capri by Alexander Kellock Brown was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2004. The price achieved of GBP 657.25 (€ 983.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Alexander Kellock Brown have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hayfield by a village in October 2002 with an auction result of GBP 3,585.00 (€ 5,670.84).
