Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A walk through the fields by Alexander Kellock Brown was sold in the Victorian and British Impressionist Pictures including Drawings and Watercolours auction at Christies in London in November 2009. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,778.35). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Kellock Brown - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hayfield by a village, which sold at auction in October 2002 for GBP 3,585.00 (€ 5,670.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A walk through the fields von Alexander Kellock Brown wurde im November 2009 in der Auktion Victorian and British Impressionist Pictures including Drawings and Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.778,35) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Kellock Brown mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hayfield by a village beobachtet, die im Oktober 2002 für GBP 3.585,00 (€ 5.670,84) versteigert wurde.
