Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscapes by Alexander Helwig Wyant was sold in the Living with Art auction at Christies in New York in October 2016. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,333.15) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Helwig Wyant achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hudson River View in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 84,000.00 (€ 62,439.60).
