It achieved a price of USD 18,900.00 (€ 16,129.03), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Helwig Wyant - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hudson River View, which sold at auction in May 2007 for USD 84,000.00 (€ 62,439.60).
