A top price for Alexander Helwig Wyant - as previously expected
In May 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, which included the work Hudson River View by Alexander Helwig Wyant. The price achieved of USD 84,000.00 (€ 62,439.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Hudson River View is the most expensive artwork by Alexander Helwig Wyant that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hudson River View von Alexander Helwig Wyant zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 84.000,00 (€ 62.439,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Hudson River View das teuerste Kunstwerk von Alexander Helwig Wyant, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
