Auction result well in line with expectations
The work American Landscape by Alexander Helwig Wyant was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2015. The price achieved of USD 2,375.00 (€ 2,150.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Helwig Wyant achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hudson River View in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 84,000.00 (€ 62,439.60).
