In October 2006 Christies in London held the auction The Scottish Sale, which included the work Mad March day, West End, Glasgow by Alexander Goudie. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,653.89), 30% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Goudie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With Fruit And Flowers By Lamplight, which sold at auction in August 2006 for GBP 21,600.00 (€ 32,120.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Scottish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mad March day, West End, Glasgow von Alexander Goudie zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.653,89) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexander Goudie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life With Fruit And Flowers By Lamplight beobachtet, die im August 2006 für GBP 21.600,00 (€ 32.120,57) versteigert wurde.
