Auction result misses estimated price range

This work of art by Alexander Frederick Rolfe could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Victorian & Edwardian Art auction, the work Fishing On The Thames At Twickenham changed hands for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,669.59) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexander Frederick Rolfe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fishing scene at Twickenham, which sold at auction in January 2007 for GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,484.20).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alexander Frederick Rolfe konnte im November 2011 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Victorian & Edwardian Art wechselte die Arbeit Fishing On The Thames At Twickenham für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.669,59) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00.
