Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Willow Tree By The River by Alexandre Altmann was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,802.56) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alexandre Altmann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Russian The Florist Shop, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 127,000.00 (€ 81,577.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Willow Tree By The River von Alexandre Altmann kam im Juni 2013 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.802,56) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Alexandre Altmann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Russian The Florist Shop beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 127.000,00 (€ 81.577,60) versteigert wurde.
