The result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,671.79) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alexandre Altmann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Russian The Florist Shop in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 127,000.00 (€ 81,577.60).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Avenue In Crecy La Chapelle von Alexandre Altmann wurde im Juni 2013 in der Auktion Russian Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.671,79) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexandre Altmann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Russian The Florist Shop im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 127.000,00 (€ 81.577,60).
