Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Bonhams in New York held the auction The Gift of Photographs, which included the work Selected images 7 by Alex MacLean. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of USD 828.75 (€ 677.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Alex MacLean have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August last year the work Acoma Pueblo; and Windmills was auctioned for USD 765.00 (€ 760.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion The Gift of Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Selected images 7 von Alex MacLean zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 828,75 (€ 677,64) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Alex MacLean konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im August letzten Jahres die Arbeit Acoma Pueblo; and Windmills für USD 765,00 (€ 760,06) versteigert.
