Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Country Road With Water Spout by Alex Hamilton was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2010. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,188.00 (€ 1,419.66) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alex Hamilton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Crossroads 6, which sold at auction in November 2010 for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,182.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Country Road With Water Spout von Alex Hamilton kam im November 2010 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.188,00 (€ 1.419,66) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alex Hamilton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Crossroads 6 beobachtet, die im November 2010 für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.182,49) versteigert wurde.
