Auction result well in line with expectations
The work MRSTABU by Alex Da Corte was auctioned at Christies in New York in March this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,467.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alex Da Corte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Night Vision in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 153,764.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit MRSTABU von Alex Da Corte kam im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.467,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alex Da Corte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Night Vision im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 187.500,00 (€ 153.764,15).
