Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Madonna And Child With The Infant St. John The Baptist by Alessandro Turchi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 46,875.00 (€ 34,240.32). Admittedly, works by Alessandro Turchi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Communion of the Magdalene in June last year with an auction result of USD 327,600.00 (€ 312,923.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Madonna And Child With The Infant St. John The Baptist von Alessandro Turchi im Juni 2014 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 46.875,00 (€ 34.240,32) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alessandro Turchi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Communion of the Magdalene im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 327.600,00 (€ 312.923,87).
