Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings, which included the work Allegory of War with Romulus, Remus and the Wolf by Alessandro Turchi. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 52,920.00 (€ 49,315.07). Admittedly, works by Alessandro Turchi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Communion of the Magdalene in June last year with an auction result of USD 327,600.00 (€ 312,923.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Allegory of War with Romulus, Remus and the Wolf von Alessandro Turchi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 52.920,00 (€ 49.315,07) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alessandro Turchi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Communion of the Magdalene im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 327.600,00 (€ 312.923,87).
