Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Christ Tied To The Column by Alessandro Turchi was sold in the Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in February 2013. The price achieved of USD 98,500.00 (€ 75,311.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alessandro Turchi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Communion of the Magdalene in June last year with an auction result of USD 327,600.00 (€ 312,923.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Christ Tied To The Column von Alessandro Turchi wurde im Februar 2013 in der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 98.500,00 (€ 75.311,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alessandro Turchi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Communion of the Magdalene im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 327.600,00 (€ 312.923,87).
